This colossal 4km project included new highway infrastructure, an overpass and several culverts, not to mention all the environmental protection management. The project was completed in nearly two years, making it one of the company&#8217;s major projects. The pumping station had more than one challenge: a wet well with a depth of eleven meters, in addition to a dry well (Technical Building) including the process mechanics. This project includes the construction of a brand new 44-foot deep pump station parallel to the existing station. Its construction required the installation of a sheet pile support. The project also includes the installation of a new outfall to the Yamaska River as well as 400m of 600mm force main on Girouard Boulevard East near the treatment plant.
